King Faisal bin Abddul-Aziz was both an outstanding leader and a humble, religions family man. He was born in Riyadh in 1905. He started his political career early in 1919 when he was sent to Paris peace conference at the end of world war 1.On the same trip he visited the United Kingdom too.
In 1925,he became viceroy of Hejaz and the foreign minister of Saudi Arabia. during the 1930s' he made many trips abroad to present the Arabs views and to discussthe palestine issue internationally.
Then in 1945 ,he took the kingdom into the United Nations. He became prime minister in 1962 and eventually the king of Saudi Arabia in 1964 after his brother king Soud bin Abdul-Aziz .He was known for his piety ,his intellectual powers and his quick mind which defined him as a wise politician and an honored ruler.
In addition, king Faisal was a unique family man and very good father .He was keen to rise his children properly and religiously .
He supervised their education himself and he sent them to public school by bicycles or on foot although the had the only fleet of vehicles as the royal family at that time. Nowadays they have grown up to be creative ministers and governors who are respected and celebrated wherever they show. Which proves that the saying " like fathers like sons " is a true statement.
King Faisal died in the year 1975 at the age of 70 but he will always be remembered for his great characteristics and historical deeds.
